nothing new!

The writer of Ecclesiastes got it right! There is nothing new under the sun. After attending powerful impactful conferences one after the other, all the dynamic speakers speak resoundingly on one KEY element. It is almost shouting at me ( I think it is also shouting to everyone else too…) Nothing can be accomplished for the Lord unless it comes about by prayer and also a good deal of fasting too. There is no short cut. All that has been spoken into our lives through the Bible and also through prophetic prayers, will come to naught until we take ownership of our walk with the Lord. When we learn to hunger for the things of God, then our congregation will as well. It may take a while, but we really reap what we sow!(it’s in the bible, folks!)

Raising intercessors? Start recruiting on your knees before the Lord. Raising leaders that can go the second and third mile? Start living that way too! The more we learn to die to our needs, the more we learn to live for Christ. Nothing new really, just need to get our act together. Or rather in this case, I need to get my act together on my knees before my Jesus in greater intensity! Instead of seeking “new” words spoken into our lives, let’s just seek Jesus! Ok..off I go to sit at His feet :)

inspiring example

A long weekend awaits me, but yet I am still looking forward to receiving something from God. I am also excited and expecting souls, healings and miracles too. I am tired as I write this, but the glow of the past two night meetings still sustains me.

The day conferences were an encouragement to the pastors and leaders. I have never seen a preacher talk for almost 5 hours without a single break (yes no toilet breaks or coffee breaks). I mean we slipped out here and there for our breaks but he plowed on with lots of awesome insights. Wow! How does he sustain himself? Truly a man who soaks himself in the presence of God above all else! Inspiring and great example to follow as he also follows God.

Tomorrow is another day of conference, how long will he go? How will the service be like? Gonna sit at the feet of Jesus to unwind after the past two days! Wanna have a great and right spirit to soak in all that God has in store for me personally, the international student ministry and the church!
