Woke up today and I found that I could not open my right eye! There was some gross discharge coming out of it. I dashed cold water and drowned the poor eye in Optrex! Nothing helped! Infact the eye looked even worse after my tender ministrations – guess it’s just as well I am not in the medical profession! Anyway-made my way to the doctors. Good thing it’s just across from where I live so I made it there walkng slowly. The medicines are helping, the redness has gone, but not the swelling. The yucky discharge has reduced but yet to be eliminated.
But you know what? it was a great day! I just spent the morning from 1045am till about 200pm just listening to worship CDs and just chilling with God. It has been a while since i last did that, so it was a pleasant time. Really can’t wait to have session 2 a bit later! Also got to watch an old DVD. Ok ok…i should be resting my eyes…but each time I close my eyes, the yucky stuff seals my eyes shut! Quite annoying to pry open the eye after that! So I think I will not sleep till much later, when I get to put some gunky ointment on my lids! What Joy! Hahaha!!!
Downtime moments are essential for all of us to wait upon God. Monnitor, Evaluate and Align (MEA)! This morning was just waiting. Maybe Session 2 will be MEA time? Currently I am reading Nehemiah, and for the past two days I have just been stuck at Neh 1:4. (At this rate will I still be at Nehemiah over the new year? hmmm!) Just pondering over how everything that happened in this book hinged on Neh 1:4, “When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven.”
Have I been bringing my concerns before the Lord in this manner? Where is my passion and intensity? Has caring become a “job” or a “task”? O Lord, I want to cry for the young people and their generation in the same manner. I want to mourn over souls and intercede in that same manner. I want a fresh insight on what you want done. I repent, I submit and I return on my knees on behalf of the young people. I will pray. Will you?
p/s-guess some of you have noticed the new colour scheme? It was just time for colour to return to the blog! LOL!
