I am in a rather reflective mood today. I had so much fun today. Doing simple things like decorating the room for the VBS programme brought me back to the early days of youth ministry. Back to the time before full time ministry… to a time before even being a key leader. I went back to a time when the fun and exuberance of ministry was enough to keep us working long and late hours! It was a time where energy levels were high enough for late nights and early mornings. It was the same excitement and energy that filled me today. After working like crazy till 530pm, it was catch up time with friends till about 930pm!
This has caused me to reflect at how far God has brought me through the years. His faithfulness has never failed. His grace and strength still abound and overflow. It is not about the hecticness of the week, but about the joy of simplicity of just following Him! Wow! And when that abounds, I believe the balance of ministry, family and friends will fall into place as God orders our steps.
Talking about ordering our steps, I seem to see that God is re-ordering my time lines and schedules. It is interesting how God changes our timing according to His plans. My sleeping schedules have changed drastically. The best thing is not to fight it, instead to flow along! I seem to sense an awakening of something different in my spirit. I am not sure what it is, but I am resting in His presence for His wisdom and revelation. Can’t wait to see it unfold
