cookies and minstry

Something has come over me…First it was baking cookies, now i am rushing home to cook dinner for my family. I reach home at 730pm and manage to whip out a nice yummy meal…topped off with coffee and cookies. Who am I and what have I done with the real sue?!

Hahah! I guess it is a phase when the busyness of ministry has made me crave to do different things at home! I used to take the day off either vegetating in front of the TV or just hanging with friends at a mall or something (all this is fine and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it!) But recently I just wanted to polish up my culinary skills or rather get the rust off it since it has not been in use for a long time! So here I am looking forward to the next day off and wonder what exciting dish I am going to whip up! It is so therapeutic and fun too! (stop rolling your eyes! It is true!!) Best of all is I get to invite people home and feed them! Haha!(So far no cases of hospitalisation :) )

Besides this, there have been many airport send offs and whilst I am happy that the kids get to go home to their parents, I am a little sad because I am really gonna miss them! So this is what it feels like to be one of those churches in Australia or UK who took in our GTPJ students during their period of study. Did they feel this way too?

I am realizing that I need to change my paradigm as international campus ministry is vastly different. Lots of adjustment on my thinking and being more pliable and mouldable to how God wants to move in this ministry and their lives! So exciting. Just need to be so careful nor to rest on my laurels and stop walking in tandem with God’s leading.

Help me Lord! Hear you and Walk the Talk! All the time!
