Four days of silence. On the blog front, that is. Things have been far from silent in real life. More airport send offs and this time the issues that are at hand are those surrounding the big airplane ticket scam. To date about 5 students have been victims of this cruel scam. One managed to borrow cash from the school and made it home to enjoy the holidays as well as Christmas with the family. To date his cash has not been refunded by the “agent” who is actually a con artist! Yeah-I am a little harsh to judge him so quick. But this same person also cheated 3 young girls. They were packed and made to it to Singapore only to be refused check in. With barely enough cash to fly back to Malaysia, these young ladies had to take a bus back on the same night. Another made it to Hong Kong only to be turned back to Malaysia. He then re-worked his ticket with the same “agent”. We went to send him off again only to discover yet another hitch up! The “agent” has been apprehended by the police and is awaiting the court’s decision on deportation etc. (Yes this “agent” is not Malaysian!). So much anger arose when I first heard all this. Now they have forfeited their vacation because their money is lost for good.
I am sad. I am upset. I wish I had be own travel agency to help them out! Better yet, wish I had a personal airplane that is abe to fly them in and out! Lol! It is so far fetched, but then again…why not!? Any planes for sale?
